Strength Beyond The Gym & Celebrating Personal Bests

Strength Beyond the Gym – A Member’s Story

This isn’t some made-up feel-good story from a newsletter template. A member recently told me this at a 5:30 a.m. class, so bear with me if the exact details are slightly off; I am not a “morning person,” but I digress… One of our members went to Tennessee over Labor Day, and something remarkable happened. His brother-in-law always invited him to work out with him when he visited, and he always declined. But thanks to his newfound confidence from training at Stronger Faster, this time, he said Yes. He enjoyed the workout and, thanks to Stronger Faster, helped him realize the strength he’s gained and the transformations he’s experienced.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do – to empower you to live your best, strongest, and longest life, both in and out of the gym. Keep up the hard work! Want to learn more?

Welcome Our New Coach!

Hyrox PFT on Sunday, 10/1

This is a reminder that our Hyrox PFT (Physical Fitness Test) event is happening on Sunday, October 1st at 9 a.m. It’s an open and FREE community event, so remember to invite your friends, family, and coworkers. Let’s make it a day to remember as we challenge ourselves and celebrate the strength and endurance we’ve been building together. You can find all the details on our website and social media, and don’t forget to Register Here! And like all our workouts, you can modify it and scale it. It is a great opportunity to push yourself and have a metric to measure your progress over the year, as we will do the workout again in the Spring.

Congratulations on Your Max Lifts! 💪 💪 💪

A huge round of applause to all of you who took on the challenge of testing your max lifts this past week. We witnessed numerous personal records being shattered, with at least one member, possibly more, PR’ing in every single lift, and it’s incredible to see your dedication and hard work paying off. Many hit new clubs, 200, 300, 400, and even 500 clubs in different lifts. I have high expectations for everyone at the end of this strength cycle when we re-test. Remember to record your lifts in Wodify. This data will be invaluable as we tailor your weights in the coming weeks, and don’t forget, you have the option to keep them private for your own personal tracking.

Remember, you can adjust your weights/percentages based on how you feel that day. Listen to your body, whether it’s rounding down for a recovery day or pushing yourself for a few extra reps.

You do not need to impress anybody, including yourself. You need to show up and don’t complain, and then you need to come back again tomorrow.” – Ben Bergeron

😴 Rest and Recovery Days

While we encourage you to keep moving even on your rest days, remember that these days are about active recovery. Take a leisurely walk, gently stretch, or engage in light movement. It helps your body recover and prepares you for more productive workouts in the days ahead. Sitting on the couch all day is not an active recovery. Wednesday and Saturday’s programming add conditioning and supplement your training, or you can use these days as “make-up days” for the primary lift days you may have missed. All the workouts for the week should be visible in Wodify by Sunday evening.
