February Updates: Shoulder Health Seminar

Dear Stronger Faster Family,

We hope you’re motivated to continue crushing your fitness goals in 2024. Don’t lose that new year momentum.

Here’s what’s happening at the Stronger Faster this month:

1) Shoulder Health Seminar with Dr. Thanos followed by Happy Hour at Memorial Tail Ice House: Wednesday, 2/28/2024:

Join us on February 28th at 6:30 PM at Stronger Faster for an informative shoulder health seminar led by our Dr. Thanos. Expect education on the anatomy of the shoulder and how to improve the overall mobility, stability, and function of the shoulder during overhead movements.  This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from an expert and gain valuable insights into preventing injuries and optimizing your shoulder function. Plus, we’ll have drinks and light snacks for pre-and post-event socializing!

After the seminar, we will head down to Memorial Trail Ice House for drinks, a bite to eat, and to get to know our fellow gym members. We aim to be at Memorial Trail Ice House by 730pm.

2) Nutrition Challenge Final Weigh-In:

The 6-week nutrition challenge is coming to a close, and it’s time for the final weigh-in. Join us on Thursday, February 22nd, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM to track your progress and celebrate your achievements. If you can’t make it, contact the nutrition team for alternate times, or head up to MyFitFoods in the Heights for a free in-body weigh-in.

3) Happy Lunar New Year:

I wish all our members a Happy Lunar New Year, the Year of the Dragon!

4) Have you seen the New Towels at the Gym?

We’re excited to announce that new towels are available for member use. Please feel free to grab one during your workout and return it to the designated dirty basket when you’re done.

5) Valentine’s Week Special:

In honor of Valentine’s week, we’re inviting members to bring a guest to the gym for free any day this week. Share the love of fitness with someone special! All they have to do is sign the Waiver.

6) Class Reservation Reminder:

Don’t forget to reserve your spot in classes online or via the Wodify app. Soon, we will implement an automatic cancellation policy for the 6:30 AM class if there are no reservations by 10 PM the night before. While we encourage class reservations for all timeslots, this policy applies only to the 6:30 AM class. Use the Wodify App to register and check the app before heading to the 630a class to confirm it is not canceled.

7) Commitment Club:

Are you committed to consistency in your gym attendance? Members who demonstrate dedication to their fitness journey by regularly attending classes will have the opportunity to join our Commitment Club. Building healthy habits leads to long-term success, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

8) Emmy Award-Winning Photographer Coming to the Gym:

Get ready to show off your Stronger Faster pride! A photographer will visit the gym on Tuesday, February 20th, during the 5:30 AM, 6:30 AM, and 5:15 PM classes and on Thursday, February 22nd, during the 6:30 PM class. Wear your SF gear, bring your A-game, and let’s capture some epic workout moments together!

9) Hoodies and T-Shirts

Speaking of Stronger Faster pride, we have shirts and hoodies for sale.  $25 for dry-fit shirts and $40 for hoodies. Don’t worry if you missed the order or are new; we ordered extras! Contact us at 832-900-7803 if you want to work out in style.

10) Save up to 30% on your gym membership with TrueMed

Don’t forget to check out TrueMed, our partner, for medically necessary letters to help you get reimbursed for your gym membership fees through your HSA or FSA. This could save up to 30% of your membership costs, so it’s worth exploring. Remember that FSA money is typically “use it or lose it” by the end of the calendar year, so don’t wait too long. 11) Upcoming Events: Hyrox and Deka

Are you looking for a challenge and don’t want to run 26.2 miles or do gymnastics? There are exciting events on the horizon. Hyrox is around the corner on March 16th at the GRB, and Deka events, similar to Hyrox, are scheduled for February near Houston. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or just looking for a new challenge, these are great events to test your metal. We have programmed workouts on Saturdays that can help with events that mix strength and conditioning.

12) Invite Your Friends and Family

As we have said before, accountability partners are gold. So, why not invite your friends and family to join you? Working out together strengthens your bond and keeps you both motivated and consistent. It’s a win-win situation. And for Valentine’s Week, they can join you for a class for FREE!
