As we dive into October (or Squatober), it’s time to gear up for the holiday season and ensure you’re in the best shape for all those gatherings with friends and family. Here’s what’s happening at your favorite gym this month:

  1. Hyrox PFT Competition: The Hyrox PFT event on 10/1 was a massive hit, and we’re thrilled with your enthusiasm. For those who missed it, we’ve programmed a special workout this week, and you can also tackle it as an alternate option during Saturday’s open gym. Keep challenging yourself!

  1. Save Big on Membership: Would you be interested in saving money on your gym membership? We’ve partnered with TrueMed to help you obtain a medically necessary letter that may allow you to get reimbursed for your gym fees through your HSA or FSA. That’s potentially a 30% savings, as it’s pre-tax money! Remember, FSA funds often need to be used by year-end, so this could be your solution to ensure you don’t lose out. Link to TrueMed for a quick survey to see if you qualify or talk to your doctor about getting a medically necessary letter for a gym membership to save.

  2. Cheers to the Community: A huge shoutout to everyone who joined us for Happy Hour on 9/22 at Memorial Trail Ice House. It was an absolute blast catching up with members, ex-members, coaches, and potential new friends. Stay tuned for news about our next happy hour – we can’t wait to hang out with you again!

  3. Get Competition Ready: Have you ever considered competing or training for a fitness event? Our recent Hyrox PFT was just a taste of what’s out there. Whether you want to go solo, partner up, or join a team, training for a specific event can boost your motivation and consistency. And remember, consistency is key to getting results! There are HYROX events (HYROX Dallas), DEKA events, Spartan races, CrossFit competitions, Triathlons, 5k/10k/13.1/26.2+ road races. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about races or want to build a team. I am registered for the Dallas event, and I am open to doing a doubles or relay with others. Reach out to learn more about these races.

  4. Exciting Developments: We’re always evolving and striving to improve. Keep your eyes peeled for some exciting new developments at Stronger Faster. We’re working on a nutrition coaching option to help you solve that last piece of the fitness puzzle.

  5. Personal Training: We offer personal training if you want extra personalized attention or a tailored workout approach. Please feel free to contact us if you’re interested, and we’ll help you get started on your personalized fitness journey.

  6. Challenges Await: This month’s challenge is all about testing your metal (literally). Try your hand at the weight pinch grip challenge. Check out this example and record your results on the back whiteboard. Let’s see who’s got the strongest grip!
